What we'll cover, live
The three decisions that make or break a first raise.
Targeting: the 15-of-200 problem
Chasing 200 investors is why you're getting ghosted. We'll show you how we cut a list of 200 down to the 10 to 15 actually worth your time, using the same fit criteria we run for founders paying $18,000+.
The message: what "too early" actually means
It's almost never about your traction. It's the story. We'll walk through the reframe that turns polite passes into second meetings, with real before and after examples from our clients.
The process: your next 90 days, mapped
The week by week cadence we run raises on: outreach, follow ups, how to generate your own warm introductions, and how a first close actually comes together.
At the end, Max will show you how to keep working with us if you want to. The training stands on its own, and there's nothing to buy to attend.
Why now
The window is open. It's also narrowing.
Seed checks are still being written: $12B went into roughly 3,800 first rounds last quarter alone. But capital is concentrating fast. Most venture dollars now flow to a handful of mega-deals, and the pool of active investors keeps shrinking. Fewer investors writing fewer, bigger checks means founders who target precisely and run a real process win, and founders who spray 200 cold emails get squeezed out.
Who's teaching
Max Goldberg has been on your side of the table.
Max taught himself to code, exited his first company at 17, and got into Techstars as one of its youngest ever CEOs while working 90-hour weeks as an M&A banker at Houlihan Lokey. He raised and deployed millions from angels, family offices, and VCs with no network handed to him, and his venture-backed startup HotDrop was acquired in December 2024. Today GoldCapital is the fundraising advisory behind $40M+ in client raises, with checks from Google Ventures, Redpoint, and Drive Capital in client rounds.
